Abstract

Here we summarise findings from the first large-scale experimental comparison of proactive and reactive DI with traditional independent interviewing. It was carried out in the UK in 2003 with a sample of over 1,000 respondents. Results relate to modules of questions about sources of income, occupation and employment. We also highlight unresolved issues.
