What’s Special about Cross-National Surveys?

Abstract

This paper will review the distinctive features of cross-national surveys, vis a vis single-nation surveys. This will include survey objectives, design features, survey implementation issues, funding and control, documentation and analysis. The aim is to move towards the identification of some principles of design and implementation for cross-national surveys.
